Seafair in Seattle

Last weekend was Seafair in Seattle and that means the ever popular Blue Angels are in town! Last year we found a great spot in Seattle to watch them and were heading there this year but did not make it across the bridge in time. We were a few minutes shy of making the crossing but they closed the bridge a few cars in front of us so we diverted to Mercer Island. We were able to find a good parking spot and had a good view on the I-90 bridge deck. Levi really enjoyed watching the jets and Caitlyn too. She made some new friends also which is no surprise as she is so social!

Levi is impressed!

Sharing Hummus

Caitlyn and Levi enjoying a little snack of bread and hummus!

Levi has turned into quite the climber and now I really do wish I had eyes in the back of my head! Every day I seem to tell myself, "Boys and so much different than girls!" The other day I was cooking at the stove and turned around to find Levi standing on top of the dining room table, grabbing onto the chandelier, and swinging it back and forth!! I thought to myself, "We may want to reconsider that insurance policy to include lots of emergency room visits!!"

They certainly keep us on our toes!

This is Levi's cheesy little grin that he does when I ask him if he wants "to go night night?" I think he is looking forward to Momma's milk....mmmmmmm.

Visits to Grandma Doris

With summer in full swing we have trying to get out to Phil's mom's house in Shelton once a week. She is still working as a doctor and going strong at over 80! She tends a very large garden plus has many berry bushes and fruit trees to care for. Thankfully Phil's sister Becky lives with her to help lighten the load but it is a lot of work for two people.
We have been helping to pick berries and have enjoyed the abundance of their harvest!
Caitlyn and Levi have a ball tromping around on her large property.
